The right care can extend the life of your sofa by 5–7 years. Here you will find specific instructions — separately for each type of fabric.
Golden rules for all fabrics
Always blot, never rub. Test cleaning products on a hidden area first. Use as little moisture as possible. Act quickly — most stains set within 24 hours. Use a white cloth to avoid transferring dye.
Velvet (Retro Bliss)
Prone to water marks. For stains: blot immediately with a dry white cloth. For deeper cleaning: apply upholstery foam to the cloth, not directly to the fabric. Once dry, brush with a soft brush in the direction of the pile. Steaming (from a distance) restores a crushed texture.
Bouclé (Find Me)
The looped structure is relatively resilient. Blot stains with a cloth. For deeper cleaning: whip up a lather from mild washing-up liquid and cold water, apply only the foam with a soft brush, then wipe off with a barely damp cloth. No hairdryer — heat can distort the loops.
Performance fabric (Melody, Sorriso)
The easiest to look after. Most stains come off with a damp cloth and mild soap. Sorriso has a factory-applied stain-resistant finish, so liquids bead on the surface. Many Melody modules can be hand-washed at 30°C — check the label.
Annual modular maintenance
Once a year: vacuum all surfaces and crevices with an upholstery attachment. Turn and rotate the seat cushions. Unique to modular sofas: swap the modules between positions (e.g. the middle one with a side one) — this spreads wear evenly and can extend the sofa's life by several years.
