The Riva sofa bed solves the most common objection to sofa beds: most of them look like sofa beds. Riva doesn't. Its clean, low profile and tailored upholstery make it a sofa you'd choose for design reasons alone — and the fact that it converts into a comfortable guest bed is the practical bonus that justifies the space it occupies.

Available as a 3-seater with sleep function, Riva unfolds without the mechanical awkwardness of most pull-out mechanisms. The sleeping surface is flat, firm, and wide enough for a single adult guest — not an afterthought fold-out mattress, but a proper horizontal sleeping position. It's the right choice for guest rooms that double as offices, or living rooms in apartments where hosting occasionally means someone needs to sleep over.

Construction

Riva uses a solid Scandinavian wood frame reinforced for the structural demands of a fold-out mechanism. The seat and sleeping surface use HR foam at 35 kg/m³. All manufacturing at Furni's factory in Greater Poland — delivered direct with no retail markup.

Frequently asked questions

How comfortable is the Riva as a sleeping surface?

The Riva sleeping surface is more comfortable than average sofa beds because it uses HR foam rather than a thin fold-out spring mattress. It's appropriate for occasional guest use (a few nights at a time) rather than as a permanent sleeping solution. For nightly use, a dedicated bed is still preferable.

How easy is the fold-out mechanism?

The Riva unfolds in one motion — no tool, no heavy lifting. One adult can convert it in under 30 seconds. The mechanism is designed for daily or weekly use without wearing out.

What are the sleeping dimensions?

Approximately 140 cm × 195 cm when fully opened — a standard European double sleeping width. Exact dimensions are listed on the individual product page.
