Sofa Delivery: What to Expect and How to Prepare

Sofa delivery day is often both exciting and stressful. Getting it right requires a little preparation — especially for large or modular pieces. Here's a practical guide from the manufacturer's perspective.

Timeline from order to delivery

Custom-made sofas are not warehouse stock. When you order a sofa in a specific fabric, configuration and size, it goes into production after your order is confirmed. Our typical lead time is 8–12 weeks from order to delivery. We notify you by email when your order enters production and again when it ships.

How modular sofa delivery works

Our sofas are delivered in separate module boxes. A 3-seater sofa typically arrives in 4–6 boxes, each manageable by two people and small enough to navigate any standard door (75+ cm) and staircase. This is intentional — it eliminates the most common furniture delivery problem: the sofa that doesn't fit.

What to do before delivery day

1. Measure your door openings (front door, apartment door, any internal doors)
2. Measure staircase width if applicable
3. Clear a path from the entrance to the room
4. Remove existing furniture if the new sofa will replace it
5. Lay down floor protection on hardwood or stone floors

Assembly time

Furni modular sofas assemble without tools in most cases. Modules click or bolt together using the system's connection points. A full 4-module configuration takes about 15–25 minutes. Assembly instructions are included in the delivery, and video guides are available on request.

What to check on arrival

Before signing the delivery receipt, check for: any visible damage to the fabric, matching colours across modules (compare in the same light), all components present as per your order. If any module has transport damage, photograph it before accepting and contact us immediately.
